Does your dvd/blu-ray player have to be 3D to play a 3D disc?

My tv has 3D capability, but not my disc player. So now so I have to buy a new blu-ray player?

Yes u need to buy a new 3D blu-ray player. TV just views, but the player gives the TV all the info from the discs, hence, it should be able to read 3D discs.

Please dont get from Samsung. I read some complaints about Samsung blu-ray here on Yahoo answers

3d dvds are made for 3d compatible dvd players only. you would have to get a Blu-ray 3d player.
