Can anyone tell me about Mercedes Benz 190E 1.8/2.6?

I live in West Africa? I recently bought a Nissan Primera 2.0 (1997 model). Though I initially intended buying a benz 190. Of late the Primera 2.0 has developed a major problem that has caused me to park it. I am now considering buying a Benz 190E 1.8/2.6. Can anyone suggest about the reliability of the car?

Great car - Althow now somewhat dated compared to the later 'C' Class. Reliability has always been a 'Benz' strongpoint. Go for an auto as the Merc (foot operated) parking brake is awful !
I have no knowledge of your part of the world so I am presuming you have a parts availability ?
