Bought iPod game on iPad?

I bought bloons tower defense 4 on my iPod touch 4g a while ago. I then bought an iPad, expecting to get the hd version for iPad for free since I bought it (and everything else you can buy for the game I might add) on my iPod. I bought bloons tower defense 5 on my iPad, so it was hd, but I got the regular version on my iPod along with it. So I'm confused about why I don't have the hd version of btd4 in hd on my iPad. Also, I'm a bit peaved.
Both btd4 and btd5 have regular and hd versions for iPod/iPhone and iPad

Not all games come with an HD version for the iPad. It all depends if the company wants to make one.
