Bought a cd+dvd, but dvd wont play?

I got a Kalafina, To the Beginning CD+Dvd combo in japan (not online.. and i didnt get the Blueray one).
then back in America the Cd will play, just not the Dvd. The Dvd is recognised but will not play in the computer. it won't even play in my dvd/vcr player. The Dvd only holds the music video for it...
I'm just wondering is there anyway to get the Dvd to play? because i'm planning on buying their next Cd+Dvd combo for their newest release Consolation..
so does anyone know?

The DVD is the wrong region for an American DVD player. You need either a region-free DVD player or you can play it on your computer with VLC Media player. VLC ignores the DVD region.
