I've got a Ford KA X reg (2001 I think?) and as of 4 months ago the brakes have been squeaking whenever they're used, no matter the pressure applied. I've also noticed that they're becoming SLIGHTLY unresponsive (I have to dip the brake about an inch to get a reaction) I've been advised to replace my brake fluid but I don't see how this is going to stop the squeaking which is relentless and occurs every time the brakes are touched and doesn't stop until they're released. What should I do? And what would the damage to my purse be? Haha thankyou

You could replace your brake pads/ brake discs....which could be pretty expensive depending on what brand you buy and if you know how to install one urself. Also the brake fluid will give you give you back taht pressure so they're more responsive.

I would check the brake pads ,sounds like it is time to replace them, most disk drakes have a metal tab on them so when it is time to replace them it starts to make a squeaking noise
