Okay, the plastic adapter that connects the hose to the pipe coming from my heater core through the firewall into the engine bay. The plastic adapter on the end of that pipe snapped at the connection point (hose over the plastic piece part) I took it to a high rated repair shop, and they say it'll cost around 1K to fix it. They said they'd have to remove the entire dashboard, and all the front interior to get to the spot. They said they'd probably have to replace they heater core (even though the only thing broken is this cheap little plastic adapter), and all that stuff. They said it would take about 7 1/2 hours of labor at $93/hour. Then be around $300 for parts. Right now i'm bypassing the heater by connecting the two different hoses together with an adapter. So I need to know a way to fix the adapter on the pipe going to my heater core of my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab 5.3L V8. (Bucket seats)
