On average, what is the average dealer markup on a 2008 Lincoln MKZ or the lowest price they will go? There is a car that I like that is around $25,000 which is about what Kelley Blue Book shows is the Suggested Retail Price. Anyone have an idea? I think that 15% off of this price is reasonable, but I do not know. Since new and used cars are not selling, I feel I should be able to get a good deal. Thanks.

if it is used you can probably get even more off of the price. if it is new most dealerships won't take much less then they paid for it. believe it or not dealerships don't make much money on new cars. most of their money is from service and used cars.you have a lot more power to deal if you already have financing lined up or can pay cash. most of the time if you walk in with a check for a reasonable price you will drive away with the vehicle.
