    Do all blue ray players contain the upconversion feature?

    I looked at the Samsung and Sony Blu Ray players at Best Buy. The box did not say anything about upconversion. The cheaper LD machine said it had the upscaling feature. Is this the same as upconversion? So, am I getting a better quality picture from my regular dvd movies on a Blu Ray machine?
