I have a 99 tacoma prerunner and i keep hearing this loud thumping noise after I come out of a stop and every time that happens the shifter moves forward a bit. The truck has 215000 miles on it I haven't a clue as to what that noise is.
What could be the problem with this set up? Help please.

My 2008 Kia Sportage started making thumping noises when it is coasting, feels like it is coming from the front right of the vehicle. It is very suttle most of the time, and you can't hear it when accelerating or braking.

...its only from driver side? It would only happen when i go around a curve, straight road it didnt do it and now its both and its louder, only happens when im going slow sounds like a basketball dribbling. I had to use adapters to make the 15" wheels work and I think thats what made it worse...

I recently purchased a 2003 dodge ram 1500SLT automatic,with a 5.7ltr hemi. The truck is in good condition it has about 70,000 miles on it, but when i drive over small bumps in the road, or even man hole covers something in the front end makes a small thumping sound. The truck is under warranty...
I can go up and down but only from this point.......when I put it up and its all the way up it makes that same noise....the best i can do is it sounds like thumping

ok it works perfectly normal but stop at about 1/3 of the way down ...it will go back up from there as normal...
