Just picked up an m-audio audiophile, thought i had a firewire port on my laptop when buying it.. I don't... What's my best option? Buy a USB adapter for it? Buy a new card for my acer 5542 and is installation possible? Or simply return it n go for a usb alternative? Thanks for any help

...6pin port ? I am planing to start a Music recording studio. I have a MIDI controller keyboard and a FireWire Mobile Audio interface for Songwriters/Guitarists. The FireWire uses a 6pin cable but my desktop ( Dell Pentium 4) has no 6pin MIDI port. What gadget can I buy to do my music recording ?

from a car stereo? jus bought a car stereo and it doesnt have the aux output however it has a usb output. i was thinking of buying the usb converter and using it to actually play my music thru my stereo, does anyone think this would work?

I have it plugged in, and I turn it on and turn it to the player mode, and its not even detecting it. No "dun DUN" like when it usually detects USB, and it doesnt show up in the computer folder. And I don't remember there being any software coming with the camcorder. Anyone know the problem?
