    is it okay if i hookup a 12 DC to a cold cathode INVERTER?

    my plan is to cut the cord of the DC adapter and the MOLEX connector, then connect the DC adapter's cord to the other half of the Molex that connect's to the cathodes INVERTER...... can i do that?
