These things weight like 3 pounds each. I'm bringing 2 with me and I'm near my 23 kg checked luggage limit. Can I bring them in my carry-on bag instead of checking them?

im going on an international flight thats gonna be over 10 hours. I'm flying on QANTAS and im not sure if the country road duffel bag will be too big.. do u think it will be?? and please don't say we'll i did and i got away with it cuz that may just be luck.. thanks in advanced =)
