Simply put. The van is not roadworthy for 1. And no the diesel will not fit without a lot of work. A used engine alone would be worth 4 times the van. Making it fit and all the other items needed would be a waste of time. Even if it could be done, The cost to do it even if you did steal grease...
Sounds like someone did not replace their motor mounts when they should have. Well you can take the trans out and replace it or take it out and go to a machine shop and see if they can weld it back together. Not sure if you can just get another bell housing. GM guy`s would know better. Either...
Make it stronger by putting a Ford or Dodge between the tires. You want to make it louder and quieter at the same time and make it stronger but don`t want to spend any money. It just ain`t gonna happen
And of course you would be the first in line to drop an additional $7- 9 grand for that engine and better mileage. It is a $7800 difference for a diesel versus a gas engine in a Ford F250. How many miles would you need to drive to offset that cost?
