Check your settings, the push email feature might be turned off.
If nothing works reset the phone and configure it back again.
To be sure nothing happens out of the blue so stop playing with the phone's settings ;)
The S60 3rd Edition phones have a Webkit-based browser built in. Firefox Mobile is curently being ported but wil not be available for a while. There is also the Skyfire and who knows how many other small projects that can easily be ignored
