You will chew through a set of tires before anything. No need to worry about the thing over heating, they only get warm enough for the fan to kick in during stop and go traffic. I would look into a Corbin seat and a taller windscreen. Remember to keep up to date with the maintance.
Check the price of insurance before you buy anything. You will be surprised at how high it will be for a male your age. I have heard of guys in their 20s paying over $4000 a year.
Find a good used bike to learn on. I know you do not want to hear any rubbish about starting on an old standard or enduro but they are the way to go for a new rider. At your age, male with no experience insurance will be really high so do yourself a favor and find out about that cost before...
I would get the second bike. I have a few myself and while it sucks paying the 5 total registrations every year (actually every other year for the bikes) to the DMV, it is nice to have the right tool for the job.
One more word for the wise, the v-rod may make comparable performance numbers...
I have just returned and have a few messages as to why but doubt there is too much truth to many of them and a quick search just leads to more speculation. Some of the reasons I have seen are: an affair with one of her husbands business partners, embezzlement, too hard, an affair with Levi and...
I also got an 02 new but mine is a CBR. I have never had a problem, the bike can wheelie and stoppie on comand with ease. I liked it so much that I kept it when I got my new bike, also a CBR-this time a 1000rr, in 07. I do not take it easy on the thing and have over 35,000 problem free miles...
Why not, if an american company were to make a bike that fit what I was looking for I would probably be willing to even pay a slightly higher price for it as well. What I am not willing to do is buy a bike that is so far off the pace in terms of performance at a premium price to boot.
Those...
About all you really can do still is to add a full exhaust and re-jet the carbs. The first guy is right about the nos but who really wants to do that? I guess many want to but who risks blowing the engine up?
Those two hoses are not to be attached to anything, they are for overflow. If you laid it down on the left side, I would check to see if the kickstand safety switch is still tight. If you put it down on the right side see if the kill switch is still in good shape. After that I would just be...
Funny that you left the consensus number one litter bike off your list, the 2008 Honda cbr1000rr. The zx10 seems to be the runner up according to the major magazines but you might want to go with the best, the cbr.
Chances are you broke a u-joint in the rear drive train. If you peek underneath it the problem should jump out at you. You should fix it right away. I would think that the drive shaft could fall off if you drive around like that too long adding to the cost of the fix.
