I am toying with buying an FJ cruiser to replace my sports sedan and big pickup. I like light off-roading (live in CO and AZ), but also like a vehicle that is pleasant on the highway and around town. I have owned many Jeep Wranglers including a 2012, but now I want something a bit more...
I just bought a new iPhone 4S and am fretting over the armor and screen film protector. However, I've had PDAs and phones in the past and never did anything to protect them other than normal use. If I remember, none of my screens were really scratch...nor did I ever drop them. Do you use any...
I used to have a Toshiba and I liked the option of HOTKEYS to fast-forward, reverse, skip chapters, etc. My new HP player does not have all those hotkeys. Is there a cheap (or free) video player out there that works good (Blueray not necessary) that uses hotkeys? Can Windows media player have...
I have saved my money and am considering a used German car. For around $25K, I can get a 2003-2005 BMW M3 (e46) or a 2008 VW R32. The BMW has a higher performance envelope, but the R32 has AWD and I live in Colorado. However, I do not like R32 without the manual transmission option. I do...
I was looking at Beemers, today. I see the new 1-series has the newfangled multi-piston calipers whereas the more expensive M3 has the old single-pot calipers of yore. Why?
I have a little VW Golf and want a bike rack. However, I'm afraid of paint damage with the rack's feet contact. I'm also afraid of denting since my roof metal is so thin. Finally, I'm afraid of damage to the plastic window sills where the straps would attach. Are these valid worries?
My 2004 R32 (Mark 4 Golf) cruise control just stopped working. The car only has 40K miles on it It won't set at all all. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it?
I'm especially interested in the 2002-2005 E46 M3s as well as the other 3-series cars. Do they burn oil and how much? Do they also leak oil from the transmission or such?
Did you feel it was worth it?
I have a three year old Turner (XTR) that needs a new fork. The upgrade will probably run half the worth of the bike. Is it sometimes better to just sell the bike and buying a new one equipped the way I want?
With very few exceptions, the Big Three make big, ugly cars. They all look too big and too cheap to me. Plus, the SUVs on the road look like huge slabs of junk. It seems that big pickups are the only things that still look good as a whole.
Although I will never own one, Honda has always made...

I dropped mine and it really dinged up the case. I ordered one from ebay for $10, but wonder how tough they are to install. It looks like you need a micro-Torx set to do it. Anyone know?
BTW, I've changed Ipod cases before...so I have a micron of tool knowledge.
I'm thinking of buying a 2005 Jeep GC with the Hemi. I know it's not a rock crawler, but I want to know how capable it really is offroad. I live in the mountains of Colorado and want a car that can take me almost anywhere winter or summer.
I have an R32 (Golf variety) and wondered if anyone has changed their transaxle oil. If so, at what mileage was it performed. If you did it yourself, what did the old oil look like and what oil did you replace it with? If anyone has an R32 or 4motion, how about the rear differential?
I want a high-end commuter. My donor bike is a $2K Litespeed Firenze. I wonder if it's worth converting it to a straight-bar commuter with the Rapid Rise shifting. My other option is to add slicks to my lightweight hardtail and sell the road bike. Which would you do?
Which is better? The JK has newer technology and the auto disconnecting swaybar, but the TJ is slightly smaller, has that great 4.0 engine, and a stock Torsen LSD in the back. Comments?
I know this sounds like a generalization, but I think women like big international trips more than men. My girlfriend LOVES big overseas trips while I merely like them. I know of a few other guys like me, too. She thinks that men would rather spend they're money on tangibles, like to be in...
