I got an iphone 3g, i don't have at&t sim so I can't make calls, i know they sell a chip so i can unlock it, but for now i have no money. what would happen if i downgrade the 2.0 software to 1.1.4, would it screw up?

I have a nokia 6682 and I would like to change its carrier for a fake one. For examples if it's t-mobile and Iwant it to change to verizon or at&t, what ever. I repeat, not true, fake. thanks
