Unfortunately that's how it is. Most people are not logical/rational thinkers, so if you want convince them of something, then you have to appeal to their emotional side.

Interestingly, I get treated differently since I changed my username. Something I never anticipated....shows how people percieve others based on very little information. A need to 'pidgeonhole' people into catagories maybe?
