ok so here is what happened...when i go to start my truck SOMETIMES it makes a wierd scratchy noise..but it seems if i push the key in harder it starts and if i push that hard the first time it does not make that noise...what could be wrong

I want to burn Linux on a DVD disc but I do not not have a DVD-rw drive and I don't know if this is impossible or my hard drive just isn't recognizing dvd's.
If you cannot burn .iso files to DVD what are the alternative ways of installing linux?
