Sure sounds like a u-joint to me. Replace them both.

That sure sounds like you have air that isn't purging from the cooling system.

It wouldn't come close to fitting.

Back then at the other end of the cable is a gear inside the trans that is turned by another gear.

First make sure you coolant is not low, that would cause that. To test your heater core, when the vehicle is warmed up touch both heater hoses at the fire wall that go to the heater core. Both hoses should feel to be the same temp. If one is a lot cooler than the other one you know that the core...

Just looked at Alldata and it shows that it's under the steering wheel behind a panel that pulls down.

Could be or an injector issue.

When it's not starting, test if you are getting voltage to the starter with key power. If not see if you have power to the relay. If no power at the relay you are likely looking at a bad ignition switch (not the key switch)

The park switch mechanism is at fault. Not sure on that vehicle if it's part of the motor or a separate piece in the circuit board.
