you can haul or tow what ever you want. I used to have a 1986 Toyota, 2Wd, 4 cylinder,4 speed truck and I used to tow cars with it all the time. On the highway it was fine,on hills it sucked,but it got the job done.

Never ever heard of a rear wheel binding because of a 4WD issue. I have an 03 Ranger and with the front end locked in the "front end" binds up bad with the wheels turned, It's just a bad angle on the actual axle shaft,at the u joint on the axle end. nothing wrong, just don't try to pull out...
