Don't eject the disc manually when you are done, click or right click on it with your mouse and eject it using the program. Some programs finalize a disc before they eject, then put it back in and explore it to see if it has any info on it. If that doesn't help re post the question in "Computers...
I found this at the link, it's supposed to work. Personally I would check into a cheap player and see if it is in the list of players that can be "altered" . The cheaper ones tend to be easier.

This is how and where they install one. Do an online search outside of your area and find out who installs them ( outside your area in case he had it installed locally) and have them check.
