they only make 6 cylinder engines. they make straight-6 engines found in the jaguars and boxer engines found in subarus. i have only seen a V8 on a cayenne.
they dont make them in a V configuration.
get a 1998 and up ford explorer. the 1997 v6 sohc has accleration problems. 1996 and 1995 weigh more than the 1998 and up. the original 4.0 is a very reliable engine, never in the shop but they can get expensive to fix. the newer 4.0 sohc isnt too good of an engine they have camshaft problems...

get a cadillac deville, they get about 20 mpg city and over 30 mpg on the highway. i have one that i seldom drive, i get about 20-23 in town and i get 30 mpg no matter how fast i go on the highway

they stopped making the truck based explorers in 2010. it was a $40,000 car when new cars lose half their value within 3 years. in 15 years probably will be worth $4,000
get a 1995 ford explorer i have one its a good car, its very reliable has a 4.0 which is a good engine they last forever. it never left me on the side of the road ever
