I have an iPhone 2G that I used with T-Mobile since launch. I dropped the phone and the screen cracked so the touch doesnt work anymore. i read it on the apple website that iphone can be replaced/fixed for $200 if out of warranty. Am I qualified for this repair service? Did anyone try it?

i had an iphone 2g on t-mobile. it's now broken, digitizer cracked and touch screen no longer works.
I know for a fact 3G doesn't work on t-mo and the only difference between 2G and 3G would be GPS capability. I could simply take the phone to apple store and get it exchanged out of warranty...
I have a used car that I am trying to sell. I smogged it at a test only center (CA) and passed. However, the registration is DUE DEC 22 2008. I am not sure if I have to register the car before i sell it.
